Is this fraud notification from amazon genuine?

I've just received an email (below) which I am not at all sure is genuine. It looks dodgy and may be from the same crowd attempting to use my card details. Can anyone advise please? I can't find a relevant phone no for Amazon customer service - if anyone can help would be most grateful as think I should ring them first. I haven't replied yet to the email. I have recently and it seems unwisely placed an order via amazon with pixmania and wondered if this is how the Deed happened.

will provide this information to the police force
investigating this matter as well as to your issuing bank.

Displat the email with full headers, then check ripe.net to see where the IP address it was from is registered."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
thanks - it is genuine. a few fraudulent amazon purchases as well, for small amounts so card is cancelled.
Watch out if you are using amazon, marketplace sellers or pixmania. It may be hackers using amazon as the majority of the fraud purchases were on amazon....as in .co.uk but i do have a EU email address linked to that a/c so who knows where the hackers are.0 -
I had the same e-mail on Sunday morning. Cancelled my card and checked my bank account. At the moment the account looks okay but some legit purchases made on Saturday aren't showing up yet so I'm keeping an eye on it in case anything odd shows up later.
I know the original post was from a few years but thought it might be worthwhile alerting people.0
