PPI Claim - Ismart

I have a few questions about this. I've filled in the e-form for my husband but haven't signed anything. They'll post the forms out. Does this mean he can still cancel and do the claim himself? The other question I have is one he's asked. If he claims against his cards which have balances on them, does the money claimed go towards the balance? I've been reading some of the comments about claim companies on here and am a bit worried now.
