Income Protection

Hi there,

I currently have several financial commitments (a loan, credit card, car HP and rent) and ever since having a bad experience not being able to claim on PPI I have declined any cover as part of any of these agreements.

I have just cancelled my ridiculously expensive critical illness cover and want to replace this with something that will cover me for long term illness and redundancy that would kick in straight away to cover the monthly payments and give me enough cash each month to live on.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice as to what type of policy i should be looking for? I have life assurance through work and also have private health cover but no savings to speak of so would struggle if I had to survive on income support!!

im in a similar position. I as covered very well paying 60 quid a month but my critical was nearly half of this. Ive spoke to a lot of ppl and noone has such comprtehensive cover so cancelled it. Work cover quite well. Ive got no dependents so thought it best to save money.
