Hi there i was previously looking at shared ownership but due to one thing and another im now looking at renting. Problem being i don't have a good credit rating 1 of the factors of why shared ownership went down the pan. Anyway would my credit rating affect me renting somewhere. Thanks.

yes it would. A professional landlord/lady will do credit checks on you. i would rather a tenant tell me upfront what i might find - i don't like surprises as i wonder what else they have hidden from me - be upfront - go armed with references, deposit money, passport, proof of previous address, pay slips, reference from previous landlord or rent book or proof of mortgage payments all that will help - good luck0
