Would this be dangerous?

I have a plug like this

http://www.mveducation.com/assets/products/6301_l.jpg

with 3 sockets for my speakers, monitor and computer tower but I want to plug my xbox into the same socket because we don't have many.

I have another plug like that with 2 sockets so can I plug another multiplug in to the multiplug?

  • The important thing is the total amount of power going through it -v- its rated maximum current rather than the number of devices plugged into it.

Having 5 usb adaptors most likely would be fine, having 3 electric heaters probably wouldnt be
  • Says must not exceed 13AMP 250V but I have no idea of the power that would be going through it. It would be an lcd screen, a computer tower, an xbox and some pc speakers.

Don't try and stack these because:
    • If the stack gets too high it's dangerous when plugging in /out, but most of the time you just lose connectivity.
    • If you add another one to the stack, you use up one of the sockets
    • They are not friendly to "power bricks"
    • Often the lead in front blocks the lead behind
You are far better off getting an extension strip like this:

  • OK I will buy one of those I used to have one not sure where it went. Would it be ok to stack for a couple of days, I'm mostly worried about my stuff blowing up, I will unplug at night.

If the total load of all your devices is less than 13A then no, it will not 'blow up'.
It would not blow up anyway, it would just trip the circuit or blow the fuse.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

As said, the worst that can happen is the fuse would go. It wont blow up! Personally, I have multiplug into multiplug and extensions into extensions. is it ideal? Probably not? Have I ever had an issue? No.

Everything you've listed is a low-current device. It'll be fine, the most likely mishap is someone bumping the plugs because they're stacked further out from the wall than usual.

Get the distribution board when you get a chance, but you'll be fine in the meantime
