I'm going on a long haul flight soon and though i might take some crochet with me to do on the plane. I've looked and knitting needles are ok to take on the plane security wise, so i presume a crochet hook is ok too.
Then it occurred to me that i would have nothing to cut my yarn with as scissors are banned. Does anybody know of anything else i could use instead of scissors that won't get confiscated?

You could buy a pair of nail scissors in Boots once you're through security but you'd have to pack them in your hold luggage for the return journey. What about the plastic cutlery you get with airline meals, would the knife be strong enough to cut the yarn.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I wouldn't have thought that they'd sell them in there would they?
Apparently, child safety scissors with the rounded ends are ok to take on a plane. What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -

Scissors with blades less than 4 inches are apparantly ok.
I'd also consider taking a project that maybe requires one colour and then cut the yarn once you've arrived.
