Car Recommendations

Hi all
I have a Kia Picanto at the moment that is 8 years old (I have had it from new). With a 3rd child on the way, I really need a bigger car.
I will only have my car as a deposit and don't really want to spend more than 5,000.
I am looking for a car with 3 proper seats in the back, decent boot space, but that also has cheapish tax and insurance. I don't drive very often, but when I do it can be long distances so it has to reliable.
The other issue is that I am only 5ft tall, so the car can not be too big and pedals not too far away ( I don't like to sit close up against steering wheel).
I quite like a Renault Scenic at the mo, mainly because of the extra seat in the boot and the Picanto has been a great little car, so was also thinking of Kia Rio or Ceed)
Any recommendations?

Daughter had a C'eed as a hire car. Pretty roomy and she liked it to drive. You should get a 2008/9 for your money -- surprisingly cheap. However, the Picanto is probably only going to be worth £1000-£1200.Je suis sabot...0

I have been looking at some cars recently and am looking at spending about 5-6K on it.
I went to look at some Hondas the other day and was amazed how big the Honda Jazz is inside. From pictures on the internet they dont look that big but go and have a look at one and see how much room they do have.
Going for a test drive soonJeremyMarried 9th May 20090
