Adopted road?

I hope that someone here can help me out...

Along the rear boundary of my property is a small lane. It is clearly marked on OS maps and has been since around 1850. Part of its length has been maintained but not all of it and the damage is now causing problems to my property. I am trying to find out if is adopted so I can lean on the council to do something, but it does not have a name, which is making life difficult. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could find out?

Thanks in advance

Thank you picklepick - as the other thread mentions you can use the online service to check to see if any information is available online. The map enquiry function should allow you to view the area and identify the lane. Our online FAQ will assist in explaining what can be obtained from Land Registry and how.

If no information is available online then this does not mean that there is no Land Registry record - please read the online explanation of this if necessary.

If nothing shows up then I would suggest either contacting the local authority to see if they can confirm whether it is adopted OR making a postal application to Land Registry as per the guidance in the FAQ.

Just call your local council. That's what I did and they told me.
