hey all
I have a basic account with metro bank. Everything has worked fine. I was using my card and withdrawing money 2 days ago and yesterday.
Today i got paid, I just went to check my balance and it is in there. However when i go to withdraw some ATM's tell me "Transaction cancelled" and just spit my card back out or some say "Bank has rejected request, please contact card issuer" and gives me my card back.
Any idea why this is? Is metro bank currently having problems? Anyone on here from metro bank been able to withdraw cash today? Just a bit weird how it was working fine yesterday and isnt now :S.
Any help much appreciated, i dont really have time to get to the bank so this is really inconvenient.
Why am i getting this error? :S

Have you done what it says - contact your bank?
I know it sounds a silly thing to do...0 -
I dont have any minutes on my phone to contact, nor do i have the time to go in branch due to work.
Was just wondering if anyone had experienced this error before? Or is metro bank currently having a problem? Thats all
sorry bud0 -
There has been nothing on the internet or news about a failure, so it might be an issue on your account. You really will need to contact your bank. Sorry. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Common problem.
Atm will have lost its link. So can't gain authorisation to allow you to get cash.

Can't remember now exactly, but it's either "MetroBank UK honest" or "The Real MetroBank".
You will have to identify yourself fully before they answer any questions. It's a very quick process - all they need is your name, your address, your DOB, you card number and CVV code, your sort code and bank account number, and your password. If you want to make things easier, give them your PIN number, too. You will never have your account cleaned out any faster, guaranteed.0
