hi, I have no heating out in my conservatory at the moment, i had a oil filled radiator on last winter with a fan heater as well when it was really cold, i have had a quote of £250 for a gas radiator to be fitted, would it be more cost effective to have the radiator fitted than having the electric radiator on for about 6 hours a day? thanks

What is a 'gas radiator'? Do you mean a wet radiator added to your existing gas CH system?
Since gas is about a third of the cost per kWh of electricity, then yes, anything powered by gas will be much cheaper to run per kWh.
