Boiler Serviced? Double Sockets?

Hi, please excude my ignorance buit ...I have just brought my first place, yippee!!! I am slightly concerned the boiler hasnt been services for a few years therefore I am going to get it service now...how much do you think this normally would cost??? I also need to double up the sockets in the kithcen, can I do this myself or do i need to get an electrician in. if so what sort of price will i be looking at?

    Have a look at these double sockets, which fit onto the back box for a single socket.

    Will save a good deal of work in replacing single back boxes with double etc. Simply turn off the electricity, remove the old single sockets and wire in these 'converta sockets'

    Cost for adding double sockets which i had done was £20 a shot. This included all materials.

    £20 per socket seems cheap to me especially if the electrician is supply materials and cutting out the wall and replastering.

    He didnt replaster as i was having the room skimmed to get rid of artex but i still felt it was a bargain

    price for the boiler service seems the same around here.
    sockets for 20 quid each? thats cheap.

    more like 50/100 quid for the first one and 20 each for any additional ones.
    Get some gorm.
