I hate Windows 8!!! its the bane of my life!!!
It's just so bad, it's unreal.
My wireless printer & HP printer/scanner is not compatible with Windows 8 and my Epson printer is a bit undecided; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
My NAS also has huge compatible problems with it. I'm just glad it's my wife's laptop :rotfl:0 -
How much info do they have about an anticipated MS? And breathe....
Firstly, welcome to the forum.
I'd like to think the shops have no advanced warning of a visit but, to me, the scenarios sometimes give us away. Single person, ordering from a limited choice and, usually, asking for a receipt. It's usually the asking for a receipt that gets the floor show underway.
End of the day, undertake your visit correctly, (timings etc) and report objectively on what you saw0 -
Thank you Johnny G,
I picked up a tip from the board and paid by debit card to avoid the obvious asking for a receipt I had experienced previously.
Guess I just chalk it down to experience and try to be even more inconspicuous the next time0 -
I suppose I do have a question, HOW DID THEY KNOW??? I wasn't carrying my paper work, I used the same phone and pretended to be texting whilst doing the timings. How much info do they have about an anticipated MS? And breathe....
Welcome to the forum!
Well in Denmark these visits are perhaps even more obvious:
You enter within one of two two-hour timeframes
You enter alone
You pick a regular menu (from a selection of four that are allowed)
And a few other things as well...0 -
Thought I would drop into this forum and say that reading your guidance notes encouraged me to join an agency. Worth reading through to pick up the various tips and suggestions that have been suggested
My first assignment next week - was a bit of an omg moment when I read the brief - quite alot to remember but hopefully will cope. Hopefully contribute more to this thread as I progress.0 -
I am having a total mare with a van wave - its the questionnaire! Wants pdfs not photos and none of the fiqures have been broken down - to add to the insult they wouldnt give printed quotes meaning i now have to send emails and then find a way to convert to pdf.
Its an absolute ballbreaker - im doing it to buy my daughter a bike for her birthday otherwise i would not b able to carry on.
Anyone else experiencing this ? Or know how to convert to pdf for free?0 -
Hi,
There's several ways to do this and the best way is probably down to personal preference. I like is to use CutePDF writer. I downloaded this from Majorgeeks.com for free, but of other sites host it as well. Here's a link...
http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/sortname/office_tools.html
Once you install this, the program converts the file from the current format (e.g. jpeg) by "printing" it as PDF. Select the print option on your PC as though you were taking a paper print. When you do this you'll have an option to select your printer. Select "CutePDF writer" from the list of available printers. You'll then get the chance to select the folder that you want the "print" to be saved in.
Hope this helps0 -
Hello,
First post for me. I've been reading for a few weeks and was inspired to sign up to a few agencies. Mostly burger, chicken and pizza work, although today I did a demonstration for a hot drink, as well as a burger.
I read about the burgers overkill reaction to a suspected MS but never anticipated just how over the top they could be. I have no idea how they suspected, but OMG......
In the words of The Jam - That's Entertainment.
When I'm having a bad day, I sometimes go into a GAPBurger and follow the script just for my own personal perverse amusement. I sit back, watch the floorshow and remind myself that there are people who have a crapper job than me.
It's mean, but sometimes it's just what I need to get through the day. What I want to do but I haven't got around to yet is pre-write a feedback form with the worst result in ever, and accidently leave it behind under the table. Ideally I need to do this with an accomplice wearing a covert camera to video the full episode from across the restaurant and put it on youtube.
If any video shoppers are as sad as me..... get in touchYes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -

I find I get on better if I write a brief set of keywords out for the visit then memorise that and their meanings. We all learn different ways though.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

Dopdf is useful and free. It installs as a virtual printer. You can then print any thing you want to that printer and chose where to save the pdf files0
