Really? Well RA, PIP and ABAi never raised any queries when I use it.

Did you perhaps have the old H70 model rather than the HD90.

Which companies wouldn't accept it? Did they give you a reason?

I am really surprised when you say PIP accepted it because I find them very fussy regarding the resolution and the resolution they like is different to the one the pen uses (and from the comments you can't change the resolution). As they like a more detailed resolution I can't see how you could use this camera.

Also, 60-80 minutes recording time is tiny. A some single visits can can take 1 to 2 hours (thinking car dealerships and on one occasion a travel agent). It would therefore be a failed visit if the camera stopped before the end.

Even RA state they that want you to use a button camera, and again, the resolution they tell you to use is different to the one the pen uses.

I personally wouldn't risk buying it.

Well PiP certainly want a better spec than that for a recorder and only allow button cameras to be used, neither REACT, Tern or TNS would even entertain video from that and from conversations with MDC, MF and Retail Maxim they want us to use either Lawmate or ARCHOS gear.

The recording time would seriously become an issue too, I can do six or seven visits in a day when I get a nice route with some lasting a good hour and a half.

Does anyone know if its possible to hire video recording equipment, I'd like to try it out first as I don't want to pay a fortune only to find that I'm not very good at it.

I believe a couple of companies allocate jobs and then loan you the equipment to do the job and you have to send it straight on to the next mystery shopper. However, I don't really know as I did not go down this route. Instead, I bought my kit. Luckily, I appear to be okay at it.

Do RM only allocate jobs via e-mails, phone calls, etc? Am I right in thinking you can't logon to their site and apply for jobs?

    Cheers in advance :)

No, they now have a site you can log into. But I haven't a clue what it is.

I think RM have to send you login details for it though :)

I login with my email address and my first name and first two letters of surname- capital letter for first letter of each name. They sent me the details when they first introduced the site so not sure if it will work for you.

The ones that I know make a charge for this though. ESA are the only main stream agency that I know of that loan video equipment.

This is the one I got after researching

However it all depends on how much recording time you require, do you need audio etc etc.

I have looked at the video and its not quite what I am looking for but thanks
