I am S/E and so is the hubby , we prob wont get chance to get away in the next 12 months so is a nice treat. I checked out the actual holiday online and it is in excess of £900 for the two of us.
And yes N.I.M I spoke with Mrs Shuttleworth today and she was lovely, shame they all cant be like her !!!
I'm a bit gutted that I couldn't take it couple weeks ago but hey ho..
Enjoy your holibobs take full advantage and while it's not free its a hell of a lot cheaper just having to pay tax on it. :cool:Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

whitelabel wrote: »which app are you using ? the jobslinger one ?
more importantly which phones are you using ?
works on my htc desire hd
even if an app says not compatible (skype often does) you can usually install and run it any how
the phone is the key though rather than the app
Hey, thanks
I've tried the Alcatel One Touch 903 and the 3 Samsung GT-I5500
The Alcatel is running android version 2.3, so it should work as Jobslinger needs at least 2.2.
When I click the link to install it wont let me and says 'This item is not compatible with your device'.
The Alcatel phone was £70. Will be taking it back tomorrow, probably going to have to test it in the store before taking the phone (i'm not mystery shopping that one).
Was hoping someone knows of a cheap handset which works with Geoverify/Jobslinger0 -
to be honest, ive yet to see a company demand you use geoverify and maybe 1 or 2 that have had the option to do it on the report
any particular reason you need it ? if its the functions of the jobslinger, they are handy but other phones have the same fundctions albeit not all in one place.
If I was spending £70 on a phone, alcatel wouldnt be on the list though. Im not surprised the apps wont work, the processor and general spec are not up to standard for most apps as its a budget phone it might have android 2.3 but that doesnt mean it can perform well enough for apps that require it.
not sure where you bought it from either but its only £49 +£10 top up from carphone warehouse
if not then save up a little bit, spend a bit more and get a much better phone
the vodafone Huawei Ascend G 300 costs £100 from vodafone website, this can be unlocked for £5 on ebay minus £5 cashback for the phone too so go through quidco or topcashback. this can be upgraded to android ICS too much better specs than the alcatel
heres a review

check your local tesco for a Huawei Ascend G 300, not likely to be stock but could be have for £45ish with shopping last week0 -

It's mandatory for the TNS phone shops and I have loads of them to do over the next week! The fee justifies buying a new phone. I currently use Nokia Lumia and I am happy with it.
The £70 included a £20 top up
Thanks, I will check in Tesco for the Huawei Ascend. Can't really order online as I need to get the phone asap!
Thanks for the advice will have to stop being so tight and get a decent handset !0 -

Problem is, CPW don't do refunds only exchanges on O2 PAYG phones. I am sure I will get something sorted.
I have heard that it can be a few miles out sometimes too :rotfl:0 -

Interesting! I asked TNS why these visits only show when I untick the box that shows only eligible visits, as I did some around 7 or so months ago. They told me the project had been put on hold. I knew at the time they were fobbing me off  Any ideas why I wouldn't be eligible to do them?0
