QUEST are good, it does take them a fair while to pay. I did a visit for them in October and they paid me in January. Like I said, it took a while but they paid.
Did you find out what the problem is? I've never been paid late barring the 15th falling on a weekend. Shopper support is usually top notch.0 -

No, they never told me but I have not had any work off them since. Most of their visits are in Manchester which is a fair trek for me.
FREE LISTINGS weekend on eBay again in case anyone wants to sell any purchases or anything else for that matter. Don't forget you must pay tax on profits.
Anyone else done loads of work recently? The last 2 months have been jam packed for me!0 -
Hope someone can help, I have been doing a few mystery shops, I sent a letter to the tax man stating this whom has since amended my tax code. Will I still need to register as self-employed?0

FREE LISTINGS weekend on eBay again
Great news, thanks mimiI'm mid spring clean so have a fair pile of stuff to get listed. Guess I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon in front of the computer!
Don't you just hate it when you do a TNS electrical visit and the MOS tells you they're from the department you're trying to assess when they're clearly not. I just wasted an hour doing a visit which I can't submit now. I asked him twice if he was from that department and twice he said yes, even although his name badge (and level of knowledge!) said differently. I can't even offer to re-shop in case I see the same guy again :mad:0 -
I have dressed up smartly as when asking for a receipt, it looks like you are claiming expenses from your employer, not the MS!0

It's a very good trick to play if you're there with friends/ colleagues. Get served separately, ask for a receipt then watch your companions faces as the floor show enfolds :rotfl:.
You will also need to eat separately as you are not allowed to be accompanied in the restaurant. Don't meet up in the car park either, sure I read on here a year or two back about a shopper sprung when her OH met her outside/picked her up:DPlease do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

I can't understand why your tax code should have been amended but, hopefully, someone with more knowledge on this subject might post a reply.
I'm sure you'll still need to register as self-employed.0 -
I think RA have paid, but it doesn't say RA and I was expecting more
. Can anyone else confirm if they've received a payment from them?

Yes you will still need to register as SE and complete your tax return each year. Any work done April 2012-April 2013 your tax return is due January 2014.
With regards to your tax code they usually give you the option of paying an estimated amount of tax in advance (which it sounds like you're now doing) or do what I do and once my tax return is complete they adjust the following years code to cover the exact amount that I owe. I am expected to complete my tax return by 31st Dec instead of Jan though. The benefit is that I don't over pay in tax and have to claim it back.0
