Am I the only one who's a bit miffed that certain pub chain visits have to be done as a two-some now? I don't, as a rule, take someone out to work with me. And I used to do the pub visits now and again to make sure I had a lunch break, and obviously, so that I didn't have to cook for myself when I got home. Pfft.

Hello,
I've just found this thread which looks like a godsend. Finally some colleagues to chat to. I have been mystery shopping for about 7 years now but took a little break last year for 6 months while concentrating on other work. I'm now ready to come back and have found that there doesn't seem to be as much work available anymore.
I've noticed that ESA don't appear to have the same amount of clients, for example funerals and food. I use to do between 10 - 20 assignments for them per month. Same with GfK who have only got one bank brand now, Abai don't appear to have anything, anywhere and I don't really bother with the rest.
Has anyone else found that the clients have really dropped off in the last 6 months or could it be because i haven't done any work for these companies for a while and they're not offering me anything?0 -

I've not seen any change of spec, the one MF one that can be done solo is still able to be done solo.0 -

SCAM ALERT- MYSTERY SHOPPER INC.
have received emails offering mystery shopper assignments (£200 per assignment) when I showed interest they offered an assignment assessing Western Union. Of course to assess their services I would have to transfer funds to them so needed to give my bank details to Mystery Shopper Inc which would reimburse the funds and add the £200 payment to my bank account. Needless to say, I will not be accepting any assignments from them!!!0 -

Hmm, that's odd. I can see about 50 of them. All the ones I clicked on say it's for at least 2 people, and there's no way the reimbursement will go anywhere near two mains and three drinks (or two if the other person doesn't mind having the specified stuff). Curious!

All of them over my way 'coloured royalty?' are for 2 people minimum. But the reimbursement will cover and meals and 2 drinks. Most of the pubs have 2 meals for xx.
Oh and if you pick one the rest disappear.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Went through them all just now - two of them were for one person. Then they vanished before my eyes. Bendy cheese sandwich it is then!

You actually bothered to reply to an email offering this size of fee....0 -

I've seen three lots in the last few days, the cutlery ones are the same brief, can be done solo, have a decent reimbursement but the fee has been cut, again.
The verdant royals are the same brief, two people, no fee and a reimbursement that won't cover two meals.
Rare flower ones, brief has changed a bit but still for two, no fee to begin with but one added if they don't go, again a reimbursement that won't cover the bill.
It looks like MF are about to shave their fees again, that's one lot of pubs with a chunk off the fee.
EDIT: The verdant royal ones I can see now have a new brief that allows solo visits.0
