OK folks - just for a bit of Christmas cheer. Another GAPburger last night and the floorshow to end all floorshows. Escorted to my seat by a lovely South African girl, who then hung around and asked me twice if everything was alright with each part of my meal. Cleaned clean tables around me, talked to children, danced, handed out balloons like there was no tomorrow. Nothing unusual about that (apart from the dancing bit) I hear you say. But, no, this wasn't enough for this girl. She took my tray and I headed off to the loo, when I returned to the restaurant she came across, gave me a huge hug and wished me Merry Christmas then tried to force a balloon on me. (I am 53!). Astonishing but funny. Anyone else had an uber-floorshow recently?

I grabbed a quick bite yesterday myself in between shops and a cinema
but not an actual gap visit, but after being in the queue for a few mins, the "queu buster" guy with a pda started working my queue and when i gave my order he asked, would you like a receipt with that, so of course i said yes, got to pay and i saw him go to the other end of the counter and shout "gap quarter!"
the woman at the till then asked, would you like a receipt, and blatantly said to her colleague gap order, who got me a freshly made one etc, handed me my receipt with an overly false smile and i said oh no not this detailed one, I just wanted the debit card receipt for my bank records and the looks of disappointment of their faces at thinking they had spotted the gap shopper... maybe next time...

The same happened last month and I then received an email apologising, so I think they do know. Very annoying.

Thanks to everyone who posts on this thread and the alerts thread as I have found the posts very useful. I'm sure everyone else feels the same. Keep up the good work. And thanks to everyone that has answered my numerous numpty questions on here and via pm.

Happy Xmas everyone. If you do not celebrate it, then have a lovely few days off. Let's hope we get shed loads more visit in 2013 and that the fees increase too (one can dream!)

I'm pretty late to this. I'm not working and not claiming benefits.
Could do with making an extra £30 or so a week.
Can anyone recommend the best places to start?

Also, is it a good way to pay for your NI stamp?
So if you do OK out of it, it will help towards state pension,
and if you give it up, you can qualify again for Income Support?
