Help With NPower account
I signed up to NPower last year and was given a quote for £108. I used my usage figures from the previous year, including the severe winter of 2010. I have recently just received a new bill putting my figures up to £308!!! On checking all my figures I had used more the previous year so am at a loss as to why they can put my bills up so much. I have just visited a comparison site and put in 14 months worth of usage and have been quoted approx £130 per month. I have written to NPower on 28 August and to date I have had not reply. I e-mailed them 2 days ago and have also not received a confirmation that they have received my query. I tried telephoning them but keep getting put on hold for a long time and have had to hang up. Their website appears not to be working as cannot get any details when I sign on. My direct debit is due to change on 1 October and I cannot afford this new amount. any help advie I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Please can you send me your details to forumresponse@npower.com and I can find out what's going on here.
Many thanks,
Adam

Have you checked your bills for errors?
Any estimates on there? Is your meter lower?
Had a meter change recently? Is it correctly shown on your bill?
Can you post detail about kwh and readings? Its likely to be an error shown by these.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -

If it's any help I left npower in July 2011 and I would say they do have a problem as I have just received 16 emails telling me they have reset my password :mad:0 -
I have sent you and e-mail this morning with all my information0

For a person that was so concerned 10 days ago to sign up to this site to moan about the level of a Direct Debit due to be debited 01 October 2012 claiming you could not afford such payment, I am left a little puzzled as to why you have left it until today to take up the kind offer of assistance from the nPower rep who posted on the next working day after your initial post.
Unfortunately, I fear it may now be too late for the supplier to offer to change this imminent DD collection amount, even if the outcome suggests it should be.0
