I notice Moneysupermarket.com is placed at the top of the MSE advice list, is this currently the most comprehensive site? I wonder how quickly MSE advice will be changed to reflect this next change?

Search engine giant Google has taken launched a price comparison service for car insurance which looks set to pull customers away from rival websites.

The service promises greater transparency and privacy to drivers looking for car cover. For example, it says none of the insurers on its panel will sell any personal details to third parties, such as ambulance chasing lawyers.

If you now type ‘car insurance’ into Google, its own service comes up before the likes of moneysupermarket.com and Admiral-owned confused.com

  • Google has acquired BeatThatQuote.com which is on the list. At the moment they have just white-labeled the site for themselves but if it proves successful I imagine a more robust solution will be put in place.

They seem to have transformed it from a minor player
If you still haven't found a deal you're happy with or want to push the envelope there are some more options to try.

Plus try the following comparison sites if you have time - each takes
    around 5-10 minutes: Comparethemarket*,
    Beathatquote*, QuoteZone*.
According to research independent digital marketing agency Greenlight, on its first day, Google’s share of the market for car insurance-related searches soared from 0 per cent to 75 per cent
  • Lies, damned lies and statistics - especially by external third party agencies who dont have access to data.

Inevitably being able to come directly under a shortened list of sponsored ads and above the natural listings in a unique box for every single search is going to get you a significant market share, not having to pay £10 a pop will also help our profitability too

Call it a lucky hunch, but I suspect moneysupermarket will always stay at the top of MSE's list

yes it will as they have an invested intrest
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
