Are paypal doing faster payments now?

Got some money into my Paypal account from a ebay sale last night so i move money from paypal into bank account and it was in my bank within 10 mins.

so is this a new thing as before it always took about 3 working days.

was shocked that it went into bank so fast.

That is fast. I haven't transfered money in a year because I have the paypal access card and use that for direct payments in stores and online

Yes they are doing the faster payments, money is usually in your bank within 22 hours, they still haven't removed the £5 charge, from off the withdrawal part of their site, I expect they still want to confuse people who pay £5 for the money in 24 hours, whilst they are already doing it for free.

I have withdrawn money just now to my bank account, logged into my account 3 mins later and money already there, quickest it's ever been.

! well not for me - today i wanted to withdraw £20 and i got the message that my "withdrawal has been delayed due to security reasons" No idea what that means.......

Yes - although as the poster above says, lots of us are getting the security review messages which delay things.

i withdrew £65 from my paypal to bank account last week and the money was in my bank when i logged in couple mins after using paypal to withdraw it-and I wasnt charged to withdraw it either. I was well chuffed with it.

Saying that, I was going to withdraw it the night before and it said that it may take 24 hrs due to security checks, I left it til morn and no checks, instant transfer!!

its a bit hit & miss, there is lots of problems and people complaining on the paypal forums about money not turning up within the 2hr time frame despite paypal sending emails saying we have released it and it will be in your bank acct in 2hrs

i had one withdrawal, went in within 15mins of paypal emailing me to say they have released it.

2nd recent withdrawal, again they sent an email saying money in bank within 2hrs, that was 6pm thursday night and money still hasn't gone in as of tonight (Sat)

There is a lot of unhappy customers on the paypal help community forum

It's a funny number 21 hours so why do they say up to 21 hours?

Well seeing as its a "faster payment" technically, there is no reason for them to "hold" it for 21hrs and then send emails saying its now been released via faster payment..

Something to do with earning interest on the money before they release it maybe???

21hrs is for security review before they will release it via faster payments
according to the email i got...
