in Credit cards
Hi,
I currently have around £500 left in my Graduate account with HSBC before I go over my overdraft.
I need money until September, and as I am a full time student (graduate course) I don't have time to get an actual job.
I was thinking about taking a loan, but then thought I could get a Credit Card with interest free on payments? Would that work.
I.e. get a CC with 0% on payments for 9months, get a large limit, use the card until mid September.
September I start a job paying £30k p/a so i will be able to start repaying.
Does this sound like a good idea? If so what cards should i go for? Can I use the fact that i will be earning £30k when I tell them how much I am earning.
OR
Shall i go to the bank and ask for an interest free overdraft extension and see what they say?
Thanks

Apprently my credit rating is good.
Moneysupermarket Equifax search has given me the following.
Sky Card 0% until 1/3/2008
Mint 0% until until 01/02/2008
Money Expert (with credit scoring)
Barclay Card 0% for 10months
Both give me
Sainsburys 10 months (but with price for risk)
WHICH should i APPLY for?Young homeowner...with a large mortgage0 -
Regardless of what smart search says, if you have no income it is highly unlikely you will get any sort of credit. Potential future income does not apply. I suggest you talk to your bank about increasing your overdraft.0

Can't you get a student credit card? And/or why not seek advice from your Uni's student money centre (that is what it is called at the one where I work), but all will have something similar where you can get free and impartial advice. Or might be eligible for something from the hardship fund (or again, whatever it is called where you are)? The student union will have info about this.0
