Double Glazing Guarantee

Hi,
We purchased a front and back door from a glazing company just over two years ago. In September last year the internal mechanism of the front door broke and we were locked out our house. When you pushed the handle up to lock to top and bottom bolts of the door, a wheel inside the door snapped and the handle no longer worked. I called the company out and they eventaully fixed it after two weeks.
The same thing has now happened to the back door and are refusing to repair. At the time of purchase they said we had a 10 year guarantee, and when i raised this with them, they said that its not a part guarantee and it only covers things like discolouration of the UPVC! Is this correct? Can they get out of fixing our door by saying they dont cover the meachanisms of the door? They said they dont cover the working mechanisms and bits used daily. What else is there to a door that a handle?
We are really stuck and would appreciate any advice. Many Thanks.

This I a standard marketing ploy. They say it's a 10 year guarantee but if you look at the small print, the 10 year guarantee only covers the frames.
The locks and mechanisms are normally only covered for 12 months.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
