Cashing in old exam results

I know it's not exactly moneysaving but can anyone help please?
My son didn't do well in 6th form but completed his AS year. His grades were low (Ds and Es I think). He left and went on to college where he did quite well at a BTEC National Diploma. He didn't cash in his AS levels (this was in 2009 before schools automatically did this). Now, he's looking at applying to uni and has discovered that the low grades he got for his !!! would actually boost his UCAS points.
Is it too late for him to cash these in? Does anyone know how he would go about doing this please? We haven't tracked down the results slip but I know school would have a record.
Thanks for any help,
Pandora

it's not too late as they would still be on record.. you would need to contact the sixth form who would be able to check candidate number etc.. and then phone the exam board.. something like ocr/aqa/edexcel.. but you will probably be looking at paying a fee for them printing out the certificates as it has been so long0

Thanks TSN. We've tracked down the results slip and as remembered the grades weren't good but it would be a few UCAS points so would be worth doing.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
