Yum range:
'Altogether, we've got butter, spreadable butter, olive spread and buttery spread. Each one yummy at any time of day.'
It's real butter, the only added ingredient is salt, and it's good, I trialled it before I bought loads for the freezer! I don't think the 'Yum' range is doing very well, seems an odd concept to market butter to a 'younger, cooler' demographic which was apparently the reason the the 'Yum' range! Don't think the brand will be around for long. The 500g blocks I got were reasonably short dated (beginning of October) so if you're not going to use up quickly, I'd suggest freezing.0 -
Tesco also have Lurpak at 2 for £2 at the moment.0

Oh dear.
Mine's arrived ok but it has 26th September on it.
I've bunged all but 1 in the freezer so I'll have to make a load of cakes, what a shameI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

TBH, I do a fair amount of baking too (at least 3 x per week!) despite being on a budget, I do use butter rather than "marg"
The main sm's tend to have something on offer, atm I am using Lurpak (2 for £2), Countrylife tends to be around £1 a block too

Have a huge amount of baking to do and need cheap butter. Does anyone know where's the best place to buy?
Thanks in advance

I do quite a lot of baking, recently due to the rising cost of butter, I've been using half butter/half cream cheese ( the cheapest one I can find). It works really well in cakes and scones.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Just wondered if anyone knows of any good deals on butter at the moment - I know this is an old thread but maybe someone has some pointers. Cheapest is £1 a pack in Lidl but I go through it very quickly and could do with buying in bulk (not a member of a cash n carry). Thanks!0
