Have a huge amount of baking to do and need cheap butter. Does anyone know where's the best place to buy?

Oh yes, Tesco have large blocks of their new 'Yum!' range butter on buy one get one free at the moment, they are 500g blocks (double usual size) and are £2.70 each BOGOF, so would work out £2.70 per kilo which is the cheapest I have seen butter for years, usually you are hard pressed to get butter for under £4 per kilo. Be quick though, the offer won't be on for long.

I don't do cake baking but i make bread, and usually use Stork or Asda own stuff, does it have to be butter.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morries have Lurpak on @ 2 for £2.
They also have Heinz 5 beans on offer for 50p.
If you use several Heinz beans coupons which scan @ 85p, you can reduce the price of the butter as the extra 35p comes off your shopping.
Give the beans away if you want.

It also works on the £1 bacon also .............. in fact everything. ;)

Sadly, some Morries adjust the coupon to 50p.

I've done an online order for Tescos to make sure I get some of the butter. That way if they're sold out at least I'll get good subs :)

Is "Yum!" (what a ridiculous name) actually butter at all?

As far as I can see it's an own brand blended "spread" made for Tesco by Arla foods.

Or has Tesco decided to sell the real thing under that brand, as well as margarine?

If enough customers are fooled into thinking it's actually real butter, perhaps Tesco could be prosecuted?

    I'd like to think so.
