  • Just bought 3 months of contact lenses for £40, which is a good price but I do begrudge paying for them. Also I need to pay rather a large vet bill, I know it'll be £100 plus, I just don't know how much more, and I've just paid them £130 so it may have to wait til after pay day. That is not strictly today though, I just mention it because I spoke to the vets this morning. Hopefully nothing else though I may need to get some shopping later as I am having a friend over for tea tomorrow.

Morning all - having a lovely day so far today, the weather is a bit miserable, but I woke up for the first time in our newly decorated bedroom (yes, it's finally finished), which looks soooo lovely, and am now sat browsing the internet and helping DS make Easter collages out of various craft materials and an UNBELIEVEABLE amount of glue (I swear he must be eating it when my back is turned lol)....ah well, it's non-toxic!! :rotfl:

So it should be a NSD for me today, as I'm planning to stay in and keep him entertained all day with pipe cleaners and crepe paper :)

    Hi Catt and everyone :hello:

Really miserable day here today, very grey and overcast and I have had to put the heating on,it's FREEZING

Well I have HAD to spend £6.85 on a prescription today  I ran out of painkillers and needed some urgently,DH had to take an hour off work to get them and didn't take my prepay certificate with him,so he had to pay,I think I should be able to claim it back,so here's hoping.

No plans on any other spending today as I can't go out,the kids and me are going to watch Flushed Away and cuddle up on the sofa :D

Have a good day everyone and welcome tigtag :hello:

^ Not anymore - rules changed, you have to live in Wales AND have a registered GP in Wales now.

I've spent about £49 on an eye test and new lenses for my glasses (which I wear maybe three times a year!)

But they need to be written on a Welsh Prescription Form. Funny how it was the Welsh Labour Party who abolished prescription charges in the Principality whilst, on the same day, their English counterparts increased prescription charges by 20p. Speaks volumes for equality.
