CDs and DVDs to sell in Car Boot Sale

Hi

How much is a reasonable price to ask for when selling CDs and DVDs at a car boot sale? I have CDs like Madonna, Kylie, Anastacia etc and some film DVDs? They are all in very good condition.

Thanks.

The sellers ate the boot sales local to me would be trying to flog chart CDs at around 50p a go and DVDs maybe start at £1 a go but be negotiated down.

Whenever I've tried to sell them I haven't even had takers at that price though

  • At my local boot sales the going rate is £1 for CDs (though a minority sell them at 50p or less) and £1-£2 for DVDs.
  • You'll be lucky if you get £1 - £1.50. A good indicator of worth is Music Magpie (just to check prices rather than selling to them). If they offer you more than £1 or so then it's probably worth a lot more and might be worth putting it on ebay. I recently sold a used Mr Benn DVD for over £10, so it's worth checking hth x

Yes - definitely - and some series are sought after and sell very well on eBay/Amazon etc, particularly TV DVDs (films usually go a lot cheaper). Always worth running the ISBN/EAN through Amazon as well.

Just sold a Doctor Who book on Amazon for £8.48 net of fees. Very happy as I won it in a sci-fi club raffle and almost had a heart attack when I saw how much it was going for online.

  • Here they are £1.00 for DVDs or 50p for CDs.

Thank you everyone. I will check Amazon first and then see what to do.

    Many thanks.
