How will this work?, pointless if you require WiFi to use it.
Unless you use BT Openzone out and about, you wouldn't be able to use it, is this the case?

Yes Siri on the iPod touch requires WiFi. The Siri voice recognition system doesn't reside on your iTouch/iPhone, your voice input is recorded, and then sent to Apple servers over the Internet for the voice to be translated into an action.0

I think your missing the point siri isn't really something you use all day everyday, in most cases it's better actually not use siri, you can get email on the iPod touch and surf the internet, those are pretty pointless without a wifi connection as well, just because it has a feature you can't use 100% of the time doesn't make it pointless.
you can still use the offline Voice features without an internet connection, you would just need to change a setting in Settings.0
