I am now claiming the lower rate of statutory maternity pay (about £130 per week) my partner is unemployed. I am not sure what benefits we can claim. Any help would be brilliant.

I noticed no-one had replied so here are my views.
Your partner may qualify for contribution-based Jobseekers Allowance if he has made sufficient NI contributions during the 2009-10 and 2011-12 tax year. If he has not, then he would not qualify for income-based JSA because your income ould push you both above what the law says you need.
If you are liable for rent/council tax then you may qualify for housing benefit and/or council tax benefit. As a couple the maximum amount of local housing allowance you could be considered for is the 1-bed rate,k once the baby os born this will increase to the 2-bed rate.
Once the baby is born you can claim child benefit and child tax credit (working tax credit may be applicable if you return to work) and also a Sure Start Maternity Grant.
Have a look at www.entitledto.co.uk
