  • The numbers are quite frightening. It's 2007 now, which is closer to 2010 than 2000 and I've been single since 2000. I'm 34 and my hair is thinning on the top. I'm officially no longer young. However, I'm just as stupid as I ever was, though in a cleverer way. I'm still having a good time though; I know what I enjoy and I am clear in my pursuit of happiness. Not that I wouldn't like a serious relationship too.

Side effect of being single for too long I think is that life becomes so simple, you get to enjoy it and don't want to complicate life so it puts you off bothering to socialise more and meet new people, it's 'safer' to stick to old friends and a close knit circle.

Simple, yes. Since I moved out on my own I've enjoyed a lot of things more and I've also enjoyed socialising more. I think you can tend to look at relationships and just see a lot of hassle and inconvenience. I occasionally meet women who reignite that feeling that maybe it is worth the hassle. Not often though, and they've always got a man somewhere. I'm not bitter though.
    Happy chappy

A thought especially on the free cinema ticket offers - for us singletons rather than sit there alone and get just one ticket - try for two and post to see if any others in area would like to join you - good mse way doing it.

Other mse single ways to consider............bogoffs - take advantage and by 1 bogoff offer and split the price between two so you each save 50% .and dont end up over filling the cupboards too.

Any other mse ideas for mse daters or mse single socials?

    Well, your sources were wrong!

who ever cooks your dinner can you ask if they will do me a few chips in gravy and if they could add a pie I'd be ever so grateful.

I'm underwhelmed by the responce of my ad............pm box is empty and waiting for [STRIKE]applications[/STRIKE] suitors :D

    edit....must look good in [STRIKE]overalls[/STRIKE] a uniform ;)

Hi, I'm not sure whether I'm a great catch, but I am single (as of this month) and would love to make some new MSE friends from here having been a member for quite some time...

If this ever gets off of the ground I'd be happy to co-ordinate a Nottingham social group.

PM me if you are local, single and want to meet as friends and if we can get enough people together then why not?

    Who's up for it?

    (No freaks or weirdos admitted...)
