Is it OK to sell with paypal unverified?

Hello.

I recently signed up for a new paypal business account. Basically telephone verification failed even though I was sitting right by the phone, so they said they'd send me out a verification code by post. This has not arrived (posted 07 Mar), but as it's from the US I expected it would some time. Now heard from some people it could take up to 3 months.

I have a decent 75 rating on eBay but most of them are purchases. Would it be OK to start selling on eBay even though the account is not fully verified? Would it diminish my chances of making a sale - most of the items are below £50 in value.

What I don't want to do is start listing, and then nothing sells because of the whole seller trust issue, then have to pay listing fees for items that didn't sell just because of that.

Thanks.

H.

I'm not in the habit of checking whether a seller is verified when I buy.

I suppose (guess) you don't get buyer protection up to £500 if the seller isn't verified - but then I thought they took that badge off the listings because they thought people didn't care about it! :rotfl:

I dont bother to check to, if the seller has a good rating and a good listing then dont worry, keep in mind if its to good to be true then there prob is something wrong.
    Kind Regards
