I have £2000 cash to deposit into my Nationwide current account, can I deposit that into ATM machine or is there a limit? If I deposit it into my branch instead what documentation do I need apart from my current account number?

I would imagine you should have a paying-in book,I have £2000 cash to deposit into my Nationwide current account, can I deposit that into ATM machine or is there a limit? If I deposit it into my branch instead what documentation do I need apart from my current account number?
if not go into the bank and obtain a paying-in slip they usually have them inside the banks, and get the cashier to fill it in for you,
I would not trust a machine with that amount of cash,
if you are not going to put anything else in with it,

The maximum to go into a machine is 25 items, so if you have it in £20 notes, you'll have to do 4 deposits of £500 a time. There's no need for a paying in slip.
The reason for this limitation is anything thicker than 25 notes jams the machine.

Some organisations will accept a counter deposit with just the cash and a card with the account details on.
Agree with the other posters - that amount of cash is better handed straight to a cashier.Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0 -
bjxxx - my family's experience is that £2,000 is eagerly accepted at the counter of Nationwide Bdg Society branches. All you need is your FlexAccount card, which the staffer swipes. S/he also asks you to sign a receipt confirming the amount of deposit, and then you are given a proper receipt. The deposit shows instantly via Online Banking if you care to visit the Nationwide site.0
