My complaint to the FOS about life insurance

The FSA do not handle consumer complaints. They wont get involved as it is not their remit. They leave it to the firms and the FOS. The FOS did get involved and got you the award but there is a limit the FOS can award. That is the problem. It exceeds the limit. Anything up to that limit the FOS can enforce. Anything above that limit they cannot.I contacted the FSA for advise, and they said that the ombudsman should be helping me, they say they shouldn't be.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for your replies. I think I'll wait and see if they increase their offer, and decide from there. It's so frustrating! If I'd have put the complaint in after January of this year, It'd be a different story, as the limit has gone up.0
