Insurance and leaving a pet with family/friends

Our two dogs are insured with Axa. We're going away on holiday for 2 weeks and my brother will be looking after the girls rather than shipping them off to kennels. I'm happy that he'll be able to cope etc.
Is there any requirement by insurers that you are the one looking after the animals and that they're based at your home? I've read through the detailed policy document and I can't see any such requirements, but then again I can see that we're altering the risk profile of our dogs as far as the insurers are concerned (both in terms of the people involved and the location of the dogs).
Anyone have any experience of claiming from insurers for a period where they'd left their pets with family/friends?

Why not phone Axa to clarify? It may vary from company to company so no set answer anyway. They've been helpful with me when I phoned to clarify what medical tests would be covered in relation to behavioural issues.0

It wouldn't even enter my head? You don't advise your car insurer when you're staying with friends for a week and taking your car, and yet it could be parked in a massively high crime area. I have claimed several times on dog insurance with various companies and there is nowhere on the form where it requires you to say where the dog was housed when it became ill/had an accident.

You were both right. I should call, so I did, and they were fine with it. They were even happy to add him to the policy so they could deal direct with him.0
