Okay, I see what you mean.
I've said Fynns were very professional when I've dealt with them, so I don't think that's grounds to sue.
Just to clear up, as of today Fynns is offering me more work, but at a commision rate of 20%.0 -
You can either continue as you are and pay them 20% of your earnings, or refuse future jobs with them.
You have had 9 jobs with this agency - presumabley, this is 9 jobs that you would not have got without their services ?
Yes that is correct.
I probably came across badly in my first post.
I've had other agencies wanting to sign me, but they wanted me to pay an upfront fee before I started working.
You mention working for other agencies/companies - have you had any other jobs from other sources? (if so, do you pay a commission for this, how much?).
Fynns' Models was the only agency that wanted to sign me without an upfront fee.
Just to clear up, I have spoken to them again today, and we've agreed to a commision rate of 20% from today. (Maybe they saw this thread!).
Personally, 80% of something is better than 100% of nothing and if I were you I would keep working and paying them their comission.
I assume that all modelling jobs go through agencies rather than individuals direct, and as such some commission payment will always be payable/deducted?
Ps - assuming that your "real name" is Jenny Schuma then the above may be academic, as you may not be offered future work with this agency .....0 -

Oh, good. You've accepted what they originally said it would be moving to.
And, of course, we all know that they charge less than some other agencies and apparently do actually provide work for those on its books. (Was that the original intention of this thread?)0 -
Absolutely right. This is a link to the BBC TV programme RipOff Britain about Form Models where they were shown to be lying to potential models to get them to pay for an expensive photo shoot. Remember you do not need to buy a portfolio to apply to model agencies.
Exactly!
All you need is a headshot with no make-up, which a friend can do.
No legitimate agency will ever charge you fees or charge you to make your portfolio.0
