Advice needed regarding addresses

I have to move around the country due to work and on average move once a year, this is why my bank statements currently goes to my parents' address (Manchester). My question is, if I want to open an account with another bank (and keeping my existing accounts open), would it work if I use another other address (eg London - this is where I am living at the moment?)
Hope it makes sense:o

Each bank does its own Know Your Customer checks, as long as you bring a proof of ID for your address that they accept (eg council tax bill, driving license etc) then the fact you have another account registered at another address wont be an issue0
