hi there my husband was put on esa last ocober and finally had hes medical this july to which he was put in the wrag, he then recieved a letter 2 weeks ago to say he was entitled to about £800 backpayment, he hadnt heard anything since so rung them today to see what was happening to the backpayment, to which he was told that he is only getting about £200 because of a overpayment of carers from last year.
we knew about the overpayment and had arranged with the benefits debt management last year that we would pay it off weekly from our benefit.
so my question are they allowed to do this even though we were in an agreement with them to pay if off weekly.
Thank you xx

I would think so, there is an upside though, at least you dont owe them anything so you wont have a weekly amount to be paid back.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
