Credit Checks + Santander

Hi Guys,

What are Santander's credit checks like for the Everyday Current Account? - Easy or hard to obtain.

I opened a NatWest Select Current Account back in March, but would like this one for expenses.

I'm also interested in their '123' account, would I be able to upgrade to this account IF I where to be accepted for the Everyday Current Account?

I applied online and they said they will write to me in 2 - 3 days to keep me updated

Anyone could help that would be great :T

The everyday is generally quite easy to get accepted for as long as you are on the voters roll and dont have ccj's or defaults.

It can easily be upgraded to the 123 account with no credit check at a later date. You retain the same card and account number with no hassle.

If you are declined for the everyday you can apply in branch for an instant plus credit builder account however this cant be upgraded and a new 123 must be opened.

Oops... 7 defaults and one CCJ over here :eek:, although they are all over 4 and a half years old. Please don't ask, I was very stupid at 18.

Will wait and see I guess :)
