For older trampoline owners

Not sure where to post this as its a bit of everything so please move if required.
We purchased a 14ft trampoline 18 months ago from local garden centre with a net so it was a tidy sum.
18 months later and the outer cover which hides the springs has perished, the plastic has cracked and disintergrated and is not much good as no padding left.
I know from experience that this is down to UV damage which I felt was down to a manufacturing defect as these trampolines are made for outdoors and I don't feel 18 months is good for the life of this product.
I searched for a price for this cover and the cheapest was about £80 and all of the sites selling these said the guarantee was 1 year only.
Smelling a rat I contacted the company who supplied the trampoline to the centre and they asked me to write and send photos.
I got the letter back stating that they would reduce the price to £58, this was still not enough so I phoned and spoke to the quality Manager.
He agreed this was UV damage and eventually agreed to sell at cost price of £40 with free delivery which I was happy with.
SO if yours is doing the same fight for your rights!!
