Monarch Hand Luggage Allowance

Please could anyone tell me if Monarch Hand Luggage is inly 5kg as we were told by Travel Agent it was 10kg per person.

If the flight number starts with ZB, it's 10kg. Otherwise, it's 5 kg.

Just been on Monarch again, they never seem particularly bothered, they weighed my hand luggage - limit was 5kg but mine was nearer 10kg (as it is every time I have used them) they just tagged it 'cleared to fly' and gave it back. This happens at UK and Greece check in's. However there were 4 of us and some had very light bags so I wonder if they sort of pool the weight within the group to avoid us all repacking between us to spread the weight. Or perhaps they are just interested in stopping people taking the mick rather than milking the last few quid off you for the sake of a few kilos.

Similar to above, I've always found Monarch check-in agents more concerned about the size rather than the weight of the hand luggage but that said it will be down to the check-in agent on the day so can only recommend that you go with the weight restrictions on the Monarch web site which posters have kindly given above.
