Got online duel fuel (economy 7) tariff from Scottish power. Switching to their fixed tariff will mean an increase of almost £150 based on this years consumpution if we moved to their Jan 2014 fixed rate. Not sure whether to fix or risk the increase and stay as we are.
What does anyone think? tried all the comparison sites and we're currently on the cheapest tariff by miles - so far!

SSE have set the ball rolling indicating prices are currently set to rise on average by about 9%.
Indications are that the current SP fixed tariff is about to be replaced with another being 11% more expensive.
Expect other suppliers to follow suit, I would say.
So it depends in part to how much £150 per year is compared to your your overall annual energy cost, and whether or not you want to gamble.0
