I've added MSE to my bookmarks (of course!) however next to the MSE link is an ebay icon? Does anyone know why this is happening? I've deleted the MSE bookmark and replaced it only to find the ebay icon returns! Strange! All my other bookmarks have their correct relevant icon, MSE is the exception!
Oh using Firefox..just so you know.

annoying thing that firefox sometimes does - well known bug. It happens especially when a site doesn't have it's own bookmark icon
(I assume you bookmarked the main site rather than the forum - it would be unusual for it to happen when forums have the vbulletin icon to use)
You can simply find a site with a bookmark icon you like, save it, then edit it to link it to mse. It'll keep it's icon
When ebayUS had a bookmark iocn and ebayUK didn't, that's what I did - I Bookmark ebayUS, then changed the .com to .co.uk in the bookmark properties0 -
Yeah it is a strange one alright! Thanks for your reply Mr Skint but dont go to any trouble on my behalf! Just thought i'd give it a post.... Ebay ARE taking over0

I've just bookmarked MSE forum - v icon showing for vbulletin i guess. I'll just delete the MSE main site bookmark.0

This is a good idea sra. Maybe it should be a post in its own right, then other mse's can post their efforts for everyone to see. If martin or any other mse admin like the look of one, perhaps it could be used...0

The site I gave above does that - www.favicon.co.uk
You can also turn an existing picture into one - http://www.html-kit.com/e/favicon.cgi
or use photoshop (also gives instructions)

the icons they make are actually 16x16 even though they display correctly if you use them as a bookmark icon0 -
