Credit Card Debt - Default, Payment Plan or arrears

Hi everyone,
Was hoping people could help me.
In process of applying for a mortage and it has been declined due to my credit report. It is fair and at 839 on experian. I have 2 missed payments which was due to Santander (topman)not sending statements out to my correct address.
I phoned up and complained and was refunded my late payment charges however they did not take off the defaults on my credit report.
I phoned them today and they said they would take them off within 48hours as a goodwill gesture.
What i would like to know is how long will it take for it to come off my actual credit report?
Just because i am appealing the decision of the mortgage being rejected with evidence of my statement showing the 2 late payments being refunded and hopefully also the defaults not being on anymore.
Any help would be much appreciated.0
