advice please

Hi we are in the process of getting our debts sorted out, looking to open a bank account and gathering all our information before taking the plunge into starting the process of looking into an iva. The size of our debts make us think this is the best way for us having a house with equity. I have been on this site so many times now and feel i have to start the ball rolling. My problem is my son is entitled to free transport to school as he is disabled but my husband takes him and has done for years. We receive help towards petrol costs each month always different depending on when he has gone to school, it is a daily amount which only pays a trip to and from school and does not cover my husband coming home even though the school is 14 miles away, so i would say it would only just covers our petrol. What do i say to an iva company about this as its never the same each month because of school breaks, this is a dilemma for us as not sure what to do,

I think the best way is to be honest and tell them that it only covers the school trip and not to and from work etc.

They should just include the additional income and off set it against the petrol costs.

Thanks for your reply, the problem is that the money is different each month so if it is counted how will they work out how much? its also put into my sons account as its made out with his initial so this could be done, just so it didn't get spent on anything else.
