Help confused!!!

I am a student with a dependent and have had a single claim for JSA (£71 pw).
Change in circs, boyfriend moved in also on JSA, now a joint claim. We haven't heard anything from the job centre and getting any information from them like getting blood out of a stone.
Confusion - will we get the joint allowance? Student exempt, will he get single persons allowance and me nothing? Or both get single persons allowance?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Just wondering what, if any, entitlements we are ellagable for. HB have said things won't change from there side although my benifit will be stopped untill a reassessment is completed and I will now only get the 25% reduction in CT rather than being exempt.
So this will leave me short and behind on all bills, rent ect
There quick to stop things but ever so slow to sort them out!!!0 -
Are you a full time student?0
-
I am, about to start my 2nd year at uni. First time I have ever signed on is in these holidays so I have no idea how it all works.0
-
were you getting JSA throughout the first year or just through the summer break?0
-
Not while at uni, just during the summer break. Would be signing off when I was due to go back, but have had to sign off from my single claim due to the joint claim.
I'm completely lost with it all!!0 -
Some of your student income is used for JSA purposes. (not sure what exactly - but you can google it). So if this is over £111 a week then unless your OH is entitled to contribtion based you may find you get nothing. As a household that is the limit for 2 people.
Tax Credits are different of course.0
