Hi.. managed to "loose" my phoen today..
i have had the phone stopped by O2 so I am not worried about that.
What i need to know is are my Emails safe..?
The phone was an XDA..mini internet phone and collected all my emails from 4 accounts.
If the new,"owner" fits a new sim card.. will the phone still try to get at my email addresses.? even though the call would be charged to the new sim.
The mail settings are all stored in the phone I think.. not on the sim..
Any advice appreciated..

from fixing a few phones, some of the owners weren't cautious enough to erase the messages, pics, videos, etc off the phone so i could see everything they had on the phone.
on a few phones, i have found some numbers as well. so i dont think that your emails are safe at all
i would change all your account passwords quickly0 -
they can still access your email
however if o2 have blocked the phone by imei then putting a new sim in the phone will not unblock it (at least in the UK)0 -
change the email account settings (new password) the PDA can still operate as a PDAand connected to a PC and using active sync will get access to the internet and your email.
What type of email was it configured for? and how long did dyou have it?
If it was configured for exchange and a newer version that was using windows mobile 5 then it is possible for your network administrator to wipe the device next time it logs on. protecting your data and contacts etc.0
