Work Related Activity Group - Sick Note?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can clarify something for me! I've been placed into the Work Related Activity Group (decision was made around a fortnight ago). My last sick note is about due up and I'm unsure whether I need to ask my GP for a new one because I've passed the medical and been put into WRAG. Do I still need to provide sick notes in this group?

Thanks!

Lou

    yes i think you do.

its only support group that i know of that no longer need to supply sick notes.

I would advise to get one anyway, just to be sure.

    Wrong.
    It's either group.
(Based both on my reading of the rules, and not needing to submit one since 'passing' the wca)

If you have actually been placed in the wrag, you have been found to be unfit.
You are not simply treated as unfit on the basis of a doctors note, as you are before the wca.
So, no notes, as the assessment is 'better' than your doctor can do.
  • Thanks for the quick replies :)
  • Definitely you do not need to supply. You've now moved into the main phase of ESA..its WRAG... as you have been found to have limited capability for work.

  • I would advise you to call dwp to confirm you don't need one more sick note. With the decision to put you into wrag just 2 weeks ago, it might take a while for the right department to get notice of this.
Checking might be the difference between whether you get your next payment or not.
Better to be safe than sorry.

If the decision's been made and you have it in writing, then you don't need to hand in any more sick notes.

I received the letter on the same day as they sent out the "Your fit note" one. So had to call them to make sure :)

No sick note needed, and your GP will recieve a letter telling him no more sick notes need to be provided.

    Wrong!

How on earth DWP will write a letter to your GP to say no more sick note is provide ?

DWP don't sent any letter to GP!

You don't need sick notes if placed WRAG or Support Group after appeal win.
