Weekend auctions in Yorkshire?

My parents want to go and experience an auction. I don't think they're intending to buy at the first one, but it'd be furniture/artwork if they did.
Can somebody either recommend one (it has to be a weekend one) or link me to a directory? I keep coming up with the same couple in my search but they're during the week. We're based in W.Yorks but they are willing to travel a reasonable distance.
Thanks!

There aren't many on weekends, especially in Yorkshire.
There's a couple in Manchester but I can't vouch for them (or even know if they still run) so won't recommend them.
If you get the Yorkshire Post they have an auction guide on a Saturday morning which will probably give you more info than you can find online..0 -
I just googled 'yorkshire auctioneers' and the first one was Tennants in Leyburn who have an auction on Saturday 15/9.0

Thank you both.
I've found a couple of possibilities so I'll pass those on and also suggest the Yorkshire Post as a good place to look.

Just thought I'd update to say that we got the Yorkshire Post yesterday and there are two auctions next weekend that my parents could go to, so they're hoping to make it to one of them.
Thanks very much!

Not a fly by night company selling cheap chinese tat as antiques.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
For a tip, those types of places usually advertise in the general section of the newspapers, the auction guides are usually within the classified parts. Obviously that's not to say have a bit of caution, but chances are the ones in the Yorkshire Post have been established a good 50 years or more.forgotmyname wrote: »Just make sure its a fixed auction, Proper premises there every week.

I hope the OP's parents enjoy it, it can be a great experience. I'd tell them to have something for a deposit, so either cash or credit/debit card and some ID, they may just get tempted..0
