Argos - Bad then great customer service

I ordered a bed instore from Argos at the end of August for delivery 12th September. I received an automated message on my phone yesterday (11th September) asking to call Argos back due to a delivery delay, uh oh i thought, and i was right. With less than 24 hours notice i was told no stock therefore next delivery would be in October, over a month after ordering the product.
This was going to cause a huge nuisance as i had arranged for someone to come and get all my old furniture prior to delivery of the new bed and also for people to help me put the new frame together.
I sent an email to the customer services team and also to the email [EMAIL="terry.duddy@homeretailgroup.com"]terry.duddy@homeretailgroup.com[/EMAIL]. I got this email from some older posts on MSE. The email was sent about 4pm yesterday afternoon.
I received a call at 8.45am this morning from Argos customer services, they are going to deliver the bed frame this Friday (14th September) which i think is an excellent come back, and so quick from sending the email yesterday. I have yet to see whether the product is delivered undamaged but this has improved my thinking of Argos.
I would recommend using the terry duddy email if you have any problems with Argos
