can they claim any benefits???

A friend of mine has recently left work, she has a 10 month old baby and found it too much being a mum in the day and working each evening. Her partner works full time,so they are now trying to survive on his wage. Does anyone know of any websites that will roughly tell you what benefits they will be able to claim and approx how much they willl recieve??

you can try 'entitledto' theres a link up top somewhere. however this doesnt give an accurate amount so id advise against it.

i assume they claim tax credits? if not they will/may be entitled.

they can also put in a claim for housing and council tax benefit. there is no guarantee thats they will qualify but they might. and theres no harm in applying.

remember though that until the new tax year starts this friday, sites like entitled to or the tax credits do i qualify site only tells you what your entitled to for this tax year i.e. 2 days, it should change i presume on friday..
